Counselling Psychotherapy

In-clinic sessions

My in-clinic sessions offer a warm, confidential space for personal growth and healing. Through active listening and tailored approaches, I guide clients in overcoming challenges, fostering resilience, and finding renewed purpose in life.

remote sessions

My remote sessions offer a safe and supportive space for clients to explore emotions, address challenges, and promote personal growth. Through video conferencing, I provide empathetic guidance and evidence-based techniques tailored to individual needs.

My Approach

I am committed to working with you in a transparent and compassionate manner. I am trained in a modality of psychotherapy that lends itself to empowering and enabling you in a practical and robust sense. I include the body in the therapeutic process as this ensures that both the causes and the symptoms of your current problem are addressed.

Having a solid foundation in psychology gives me a broad understanding of the many relevant and interrelated aspects effecting our mental health. I am experienced in providing effective results in both short-term & long term counselling psychotherapy. My focus is on supporting you to achieve what you want to achieve and on creating maximum value for you going forward.

Transactional Analysis

My main training modality is in Transactional Analysis (TA) which is a holistic and systematic psychotherapy for personal growth and personal change. The model & philosophy of TA are humanistic in nature. Because TA is a humanistic therapy it has been able to evolve and be enhanced by Neuroscience and all the other areas of science included under the umbrella of Interpersonal Neurobiology.

Treatment Specialties

The Application of TA

TA gives us a language to understand & name the internal aspects that influence how we decide ‘who I am’, ‘who others are’ and ‘what someone like me can expect from the world’.

Counselling Psychotherapy in Action

The focus of the sessions is based on what you want to achieve. In TA we work as a team and I will have agreed to work with you on your goal for therapy. Generally the sessions would involve you telling me about what is bothering you and me responding with the relevant questions and responses to help you find out the causes at play.

The Safe & Sound Protocol

The Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) enables the body to receive cues of safety which means we are able to cope with our problems more effectively. Often generalised anxiety disappears, and other specific triggers become far more manageable, as we are able to regulate our inner state.

Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) was initially only used for PTSD for which it is proven effective. It has also been proven to help people recover from a variety of traumatic events that have been experienced which leads to significant improvement in mental & emotional health.

Interpersonal Neurobiology

Interpersonal Neurobiology encompasses the science of consciousness and neuroscience findings that support the fact that we can actively enable ourselves to respond differently to our problems and become better problem solvers and therefore happier and healthier as a result.

Other Therapeutic Interventions Provided

Grounding is helpful in calming the nervous system and reducing feelings of anxiety. It is also an important aspect for restoring and maintaining energy levels.
